ANSA Motors Timeline

Beginning under the umbrella of Charles McEnearney and Company, McEnearney Motors is established.

Under the umbrella of McEnearney Guyana Inc. (MGI), a partnership was formed between Charles McEnearney and Charles MacKenzie to open the first location in Bridgetown, Barbados.

BURMAC was founded by Burton McEnearney.

ANSA Industries Ltd. is established by Dr. Anthony N. Sabga.

Dr. Anthony N. Sabga purchases the majority shares in McEnearney/Alstons, forming the ANSA McAL Group.

Classic Motors was formed to represent the Honda brand.

Diamond Motors was formed to represent the Mitsubishi brand.

McEnearney Motors established the country’s first Ford dealership.

A strategic decision was made for BURMAC to specialise in the sales, rental, and after-sales support of equipment for the agricultural, construction, and industrial markets.

ANSA Automotive Ltd. was formed.

Trafalgar Motors is established as the dealer for Jaguar and Land Rover in Trinidad and Tobago.

ANSA Automotive officially launched its multi-product showroom in Chaguanas.

ANSA Motors in Guyana was opened and is the authorised dealer for Suzuki. The range of Suzuki vehicles includes SUVs, sedans and hatchbacks.

ANSA Automotive officially changes its name to ANSA Motors.

Acquired HSE Hyundai Construction Equipment and became the authorised dealer for Guyana.

ANSA Motors launched Proton across Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Guyana and was appointed the official regional distributor for IVECO across the Caribbean region.

The launch of Proton e.MAS 7 for Trinidad and Tobago and the introduction of Changan Hunter in Guyana.
